The Veil Guy stopped by our offices a couple of weeks ago on his way to Atlanta. While he was here, he picked up a few radar detectors to test during his return trip. Among the models he chose were the Whistler Pro 78 and the Whistler XTR-690.

The whistler pro 78 is a super radar detector...just as good as escort and bel....plus awesome features....I can only speak for the whistler pro 78.
I bought a Whistler Pro 78 in May for a trip from Charlotte , NC to Miami Fl. I tested the unit around Charlotte for a couple of weeks and I was amazed of how many signals it was picking up. But that lasted 2 weeks. The unit went dead on me on my way to Miami. Since then, Whistler has replaced the main board and did a software update... I had it back 2 weeks and all working great. Very impressive so far, just I hope it does not died on me again soon.
I was sitting on the passenger side of my car nobody else was in the car.I refused to take the breath test but I do not recollect to refuse the sobriety test when I got out of the car. The keys were in the ignition and the car was running.I also do not recall that the officer gave me the mirandom rights.This arrest happened in chicago il.this would be the second dui arrest in 3yrs.there no prior convictions.
yea ive owned a escort 8500 X50 it was very good...the 9500i ok becarful with it!!...the valentive over rated but very good...Whistler pro is my #1
Whistler pro 78 is an awesome radar detector...it has awesome features...it detects very very good...great from behind. Yea people don't pay so much and get over rated detectors i mean they are good and way better than most but not the pro 78 that i know.
