Hi Diane, the Galaxy DX 959 SSB CB Radio includes a hard wire kit only, which means the radio needs to be wired into the vehicle. Although CB radios operate on 4 watts, they may draw more amps than many vehicle cigarette lighter adapter cables are designed to handle. It is best to wire the CB radio into the vehicle.
