After receiving a couple of shipments with only enough units to fill backorders, I'm happy to say that we now have (what should be) plenty of new Whistler XTR series radar detectors in stock. All XTR models are now in stock: XTR-220, XTR-325, XTR-425, XTR-520, and XTR-560. If you had one of these models on backorder with us, you should have already received an email with your tracking information.
Also, the manuals for each of these models are now available online. Just click the "Owners Manual" link at the top of each detector's product page.
would you be able to tell me whether the xtr-425 is a good buy, meaning does it perform well? am i better off with another model? i dont want to pay more than about 110$

I would like some advice for europe radar detectors. The Whistler euro 948 model has VG-2 Alert and undetectable??? What about specific europe X band? There are more models with this specifications?
I also would like to know if the payment can be cash-on-delivery? How long does it take to receive the item after ordering?
Unfortunately we do not ship radar detectors to Portugal. We have had several packages confiscated en route, so we have stopped shipping there.
Regarding the Whistler 948 Euro, however, it does detect the European X band along with the Ku band. It is the only model that we sell that detects the (very rare) Euro X band.
You can turn the Ku band off by holding down the quiet button for 2 seconds. Once in options mode, press the button 6 more times with no more than 20 seconds between each button press. Push the down arrow button and leave the radar detector alone for 20 seconds and it will no longer detect Ku band.
