Whistler XTR-280

We have received a couple of emails now asking about the Whistler XTR-280. This model is yet another version of the Whistler 1788, made for specific retailers. The XTR-280 is identical to the Whistler 1788 that we sell. Unlike some other versions, it does include the home charger.

I own a -- XTR- 280 -- have been very satisfied with the functioning of the unit except for one problem.
I have it plugged up and mounted on my dash When in use it will turn off every hour Please explain how I can eliminate this problem.

That is the battery-saver feature. Press the quiet button and hold it down until you enter Options Select Mode. You'll have twenty seconds between button presses before it times you out. Scroll through the options menu until you get to "B SVR." Use the volume up and down buttons to scroll through the "B SVR" options until you see "NO." Allow the unit to time you out of the options select mode.
