SmartCord vs. Regular power cord
Originally, I had a SmartCord to power my Escort Passport. After it was slammed in the car door, I tried a regular car power cord. Until then, I didn't realize how important the SmartCord features were to me. When detecting a radar, laser, etc., you can cancel the audio alert at the power point. If you want to turn the light down or out on the detector, you can still get visual alerts on the power plug. These things may seem insignificant, but once you use them, you never get used to not having them. The cost for the convenience is insignificant. I say, "Try it!"
