Description / Whistler CR85 Radar Detector
The Whistler CR85 Laser Radar Detector provides complete, high performance radar and laser detection for advanced warning, with a high gain lens and LIT Truspeed® S, Laser Ally™ and Laser Atlanta® Stealth Mode technology. It offers 360° Maxx coverage and POP mode detection.
The CR85 also features RSID and LSID signal identifiers to display details of an alert. RSID identifies Ka Band 33.8, 34.0, 34.3, 34.7 or 35.5 and LSID indicates the Pulses Per Second (PPS) transmitted by laser.
The Whistler CR85 has a bright blue OLED text display with auto dim and dark modes to keep you informed of the latest threats. It also sports two blue LED alert periscopes on top of the detector to get your attention quickly in case of an alert.
The CR85 filters false signals with three city modes and highway mode while on the town. Traffic Flow Signal Rejection (TFSR) helps prevent false alerts from radar based traffic flow sensors on roads and highways.
The CR 85 also has low emission to minimize detection from VG-2 and Spectre radar detector detectors (RDD). Other standard features include Alert Priority, auto quiet mode, Real Voice™ technology, a Stay Alert feature to help keep you alert while on long trips, SWS alerts, selectable bands, selectable filters, selectable tones, setting saver, Teach/Tutorial Mode, a vehicle voltage meter and selectable auto off. The CR85 is also compatible with the popular IntelliCord.
The Whistler CR85 comes complete with windshield bracket, power cord, hardwire kit, dash pad, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty.

Whistler CR85 Laser Radar Detector
This is a super Laser Radar Detector. Used it for a trip from Michigan to Florida It did not fail in alerting me to reduce my speed...not once.
perfect for the price
for the price it is everything i wanted. i occasionally will get the random laser signal, got one when i was alone on a back road with no one else around or streetlights, and one when i was pulling out of my garage. the range is decent. i wish it was a bit better with Ka, because that what the cops round here use. but beside that its easy to setup and program, plenty of options, city modes work well
Awesome Radar! Works great!!!!
Best radar detector ever!!!! Great range on hills and curves with all bands. Has a great tone and same performance as Passport 9500 and close performance with Escort Redline XR and Passport Max for a x5 lower price. Love it!!!!
Would not reccomend
Bought the CR80 for a long distance trip through some of the western states. Most of the time the radar detector gave a warning well after we were able to visually spot highway patrol. I was even pulled over on a completely flat portion of highway, the detector went off as we visually identified the patrol car. Fortunately I got off with a warning. We also received numerous false laser warnings....
does not false to k band accident avoidance systems!
This detector makes a driver forget that adaptive cruise control and lane change assist falsing ever existed :-)
