The Cobra XRS-9965 is an impressive radar detector. The XRS-9965 has an extra large 1.5" full color touch screen DataGrafix display, and it is one of our favorite features. This large, graphical display allows the detector to provide an easy to use settings interface, along with simple to understand warnings. Because it is a touch screen, it is easy to change settings and configure to your driving preferences.
The Cobra XRS-9965 supports GPS-enabled functionality when combined with the optional GPS accessory (GPSL). When combined with the GPSL, the XRS9965 has the ability to alert the driver when approaching fixed red light, speed, and photo radar cameras.
The XRS-9965 radar detector features voice alerts, and the intuitive IntelliMute™ feature which will automatically mute the detector based on your speed. This model will also detect POP radar, provides a voltage meter, and even has built-in support for the Ku band which is currently used in Europe.
The Cobra XRS-9965 responds to all types of radar currently in use by police, and provides 360 degree detection of all types of laser guns. The XRS-9965 also provides detailed messages from Cobra's exclusive Safety Alert® and Strobe Alert warning systems. The Cobra XRS-9965 is immune to the VG-2 radar detector detector and Spectre I, and provides alerts when Spectre I/IV is in use.
Cobra's Strobe Alert will alert motorists to over 50,000 emergency vehicles equipped with strobe transmitters that activate red lights at traffic intersections in emergency high speed situations. Contact your local Fire/Police department for your area coverage.

The product works ok, I was however caught once and it did not give any warning, I might have mounted it facing upward too musch.

Not happy with product
Unfortunately ,I am not happy with this product , it fails to identify either mobile or fixed radar sites.[...]
"I would buy this product again and agai
After getting the GPS locator this unit is worth it. Have the locator only one day but it advises all known camera locations well in advance of the intersection. This is what I needed, as for the laser and rader features driving in NYC dose not allow to much room to speed, but my unit is allways on anyway. In short Great device, Cobra got it right.
Affordable detector 4All all radar bands
Pro: comes with a free lifetime subscription to the fixed camera database, is affordable,and detects all radar and laser bands, it also works in Europe. Cons: Aura database misses some fixed camera locations, and oftenly Gives False Reads.
