The Beltronics Vector 955 radar detector offers performance at a value price. With the Beltronics 955, you get the performance of Bel's Vector line of detectors, without the price of the more feature-packed 965 and 995 models.
The Beltronics 955 detects the new "POP" mode radar, and features an alpha numeric display and voice alerts. This model also offers Bel's new Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology to minimize false alarms. The Bel Vector 955 also provides 3 levels of city mode, allowing you to adjust your tolerance for these false alerts.
The Bel Vector 955 is designed to integrate with the Cincinnati Microwave ZR4 Laser Defense System.

I would buy this product again
I use it for interstate travel and so far it has worked very well.
Bel 955
Use only on highway. Works well. Gives some false indications occasionally.
The best performer for the price.
Easy to use, great product, save me a lot of money from the 'hiding' police patrols. Have been driving on Interstate I-15 from Utah to Nevada and Los Angeles and so far have not been getting any violation tickets. Bear in mind I do not take advantage of the this wonderful tool by not exceeding the speed limit. It is the nasty cops who sometimes take advantage of the drivers. I am very satisfied and am trying to look for a sale price for another one as a gift for my friend.
The best I have owned
The False Reads are very infrequent at the HWY setting and can be all but eliminated at the CTY setting. The "Voice" is clear and very helpful.

One of the best sense the early beltronics i have owned, very easy to understand and does the job it says.

Does not drive me crazy beeping all the time when meeting big trucks with radar detectors like other brands sI have used.

My problem with the 955 is the fact that my 2009 CRV Honda has no cigarette lighter to energize the 955. I assumed that some other power source was used in view of the fact that cigarette lighters are no longer routinely included. Please Advize.
