The Uniden LRD950 is a top-of-the-line, feature packed laser and radar detector with built-in GPS and long range at a value price. The LRD950 can operate in city mode or highway mode to filter out the noise created by false alerts. It also has POP™ mode to detect the single-pulse Doppler radar prevalent on some K and Ka band radar guns.

The LRD950 is equipped with GPS for high-end functionality, such as speed and red light camera locations and current vehicle speed readout. You can mark geographical points where you encounter radar transmissions on frequently travelled roads such as school zones, intersections with red-light cameras, and speed traps. When you mark these points, on the next approach the detector will announce “User mark ahead” to remind you of these zones before you reach them.

The LRD 950 isn't just a detector of laser and radar guns. It also protects you from detection by Spectre I and Spectre IV radar detector detectors (RDD). The 950 also features Quiet Ride, which mutes alerts while your vehicle is traveling below a predetermined speed.
