The DFR8 is one of the latest entries in Uniden's top of the line long range DFR series of Laser and Radar detection systems. It detects X, K, and KA radar with an advanced K band filter to help prevent false detection. It is equipped with Eagle Eye for 360° monitoring for all types of laser. Individual bands can be turned on or off. It also has Ka POP mode to detect brief transmissions too fast for some detectors to hear.

Description / Uniden DFR8 Radar Detector
The DFR8 is one of the latest entries in Uniden's top of the line long range DFR series of Laser and Radar detection systems. It detects X, K, and KA radar with an advanced K band filter to help prevent false detection. It is equipped with Eagle Eye for 360° monitoring for all types of laser. Individual bands can be turned on or off. It also has Ka POP mode to detect brief transmissions too fast for some detectors to hear.
The DFR8 has both city and highway mode with advanced sensitivity levels to minimize false alerts. It is equipped with an easy-to-read OLED display with a choice of 8 background colors, adjustable dim levels and auto dim setting. The DFR8 can display signal strength, vehicle battery voltage and up to 4 threats.
The DFR8 also features voice alerts with an option to mute at the press of a button. Other features include battery voltage warning, traffic sensor filter (TSF), self test and factory reset. The firmware is upgradeable.
The Uniden DFR8 comes with windshield mounting bracket, 12-volt DC power cord with built-in USB port, USB cable, hook and loop mounting tape, a soft shell travel case, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty.

Works Great more functions then cobra 480i
Bought this ti replace my current radar which was a cobra 480i I bought about year ago from cobra site. But it wasn't the best to pick up anything distance wise.
So I decided to change it out and step up to a better brand without spending over $200 dollars on a unit and the uniden dfr8 was the one.
Came in BNIB (brand new in box) detector was easy to use and had more features to turn on or off and you can change the color of the display since its OLED.
I'm happy that I purchased this product from a really good online store, fast shipping.
