The Cobra Vedetta SLR 500 Radar/Laser Detector is the entry level model in Cobra's Ultimate Detection Systems Series. The Vedetta SLR500 has a vivid 2.4-inch TFT color LCD display with back-lit touch-point controls. The Display is mounted on a multi-axis hinge for 60 degrees horizontal and 270 degrees vertical rotation. A ball-socket type suction cup mounting bracket allows you to mount the detector almost anywhere on the windshield or dash of your vehicle for added flexibility.

The Cobra Vedetta SLR 500 Radar/Laser Detector is the entry level model in Cobra's Ultimate Detection Systems Series. Cobra boasts a 30% increase in performance over their previous flagship model and improvements to both ergonomics and form factor to increase driver comfort, convenience and safety.
The Vedetta SLR500 has a vivid 2.4-inch TFT color LCD display with back-lit touch-point controls. The display is mounted on a multi-axis hinge for 60 degrees horizontal and 270 degrees vertical rotation. A ball-socket type suction cup mounting bracket allows you to mount the detector almost anywhere on the windshield or dash of your vehicle for added flexibility.
The SLR-500 offers supercharged detection of all radar and laser guns. Features include Quad-Level IntelliShield™ False Signal Filtering, Voice Alert™, IntelliMute™ speed-sensitive muting system, SmartPower automatic shut off (shuts off when vehicle ignition is turned off) and Signal Strength Meter.
The Cobra SLR 500 comes complete with mounting bracket, power cord, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty from Cobra.

Was fairly happy until...
Very pleased until getting a ticket on the first trip. Ohio officer (very nice) said he shot me twice, front and rear, and I never had any indication on this detector.
Save yourself from a Ticket
I sell real estate, a lot of it! and I have to drive everywhere in a moments notice. Often, I drive fast and in a big hummer. Cobra saved me the value of the device in the first day, as there are many speed traps in my area of Kirkland Washington. I depend on my radar detector daily, and I love how it works!
Vendetta 500
I use this product at all times when driving. Sometimes it seems to mute itself. I still like it and have not had a ticket since I installed it,which was 1.5-2 years ago.
