The Whistler Pro 68SE radar detector is an impressive new model from Whistler's high performance Professional Series that is replacing the Pro 68. The Pro 68SE is an updated design that has even more features than its predecessor, including the ability to use the popular IntelliCord.
The Pro 68SE model detects the POP mode feature of some radar guns and uses the same high intensity icon display of the original 68 series. The detector also has Twin Alert periscope LEDs that provide an additional visual alert when a signal is detected.

best one I'v used yet
In the past I have owned a cobra esd 700 bel E795 and a passport 8500 one thing I noticed about those models is that they are bad on off-axis detection. I recently purchased the pro 68se crossing my fingers after looking at the price of [$]but this thing is amazing. it easily out performs my other detectors in accuracy. In many of my encounters the officer was shooting his gun away from me and the detector still picked it up way before I could even see him.This detector only required a little radar reflection to alert. But one thing I don't understand is that it picks up so well and yet when I run full highway mode "all bands" but not pop it is extremely quiet around all of these stores that I drive past. I am truly impressed with this product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good performing product that is basically being given away.

Picks up police radar from a far give good early warning. This is my 3rd Whistler over the years prices are right and they work

DOES NOT WORK until the police are right up on you. i got a ticket the first week of having the thing the detector did not go off until the cop was right in front of me and i saw him but it was to late. worst detector ever. the sounds it makes are horrible to , sounds like a pac man game, i got teased by so many of my buddies about how it sounds when you turn it on or when it goes off. Also note if you purchase from this site and have to return the item you have to pay to ship it back and they charge a 20percent restocking fee. a waste of money!!!! dont buy!!!!
do not buy
pproduct not good, i have never had a detector go on the fritz. this one loses it light so you have no idea what the detector has found or how strong a signal from radar. i had this for 6 months give or take a few months, its not the company selling them its whistler and the junk they make.. we'll see if whistler or the company here does something to fix this problem.
speaker will wear out soon
The speaker will probably wear out before I ever encounter an actual radar gun in a police car. No matter what mode it's in (City, C1, C2, or Highway), the alarm is nearly constant. Every block or two, every time I get near a house or an intersection or another car - beep beep beep. I will say it has the effect of making me afraid to go more than 9 mph over the speed limit at ANY time, and it does detect actual radar, but it also detects everything else in town.
