Great unit, easy to use.
alarms go off too often
Too many false alarms every day
I really like this radar detector.
I purchased this exact model 5 years ago. I've used it every day since and I know that it has saved me many times from some of the local police departments (who seem to spend most of their day writing speeding tickets for going only a few mph over the speed limit) as well as the troopers and county sheriffs who patrol the thruway and local highways. But, since it was 5 years old, and subjected to the extremes of summer heat and winter cold in my car while it was parked, I figured that it would probably be a good idea to replace it. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to see it now listed for less than I purchased it for 5 years ago. Of course it's being discontinued, but so what. That is still such a great price and value for a quality radar detector that can more than hold its own against other radar detectors costing hundreds of dollars more. So I purchased three of them - one for myself and two as gifts, Needless to say, we all love them and I look forward to getting another 5 years or more of continued peace of mind with my new one before I have to start thinking about replacing it again.
