The Cobra XRS-9745 15 band™ radar detector features Cobra's Xtreme Range Superheterodyne™ Technology, which provides more range than similarly priced prior Cobra models. The Cobra 9745 provides voice alerts, DigiView® Data Display, and includes a built-in 8 point electronic compass.
The XRS-9745 radar detector features an intuitive IntelliMute™ feature which will automatically mute the detector based on your speed. This model will also detect POP radar, and even has built-in support for the Ku band which is currently used in Europe.
The Cobra XRS-9745 responds to all types of radar currently in use by police, and provides 360 degree detection of all types of laser guns. The XRS-9745 also provides detailed messages from Cobra's exclusive Safety Alert® and Strobe Alert warning systems. The Cobra XRS-9745 is immune to the VG-2 radar detector detector and Spectre I, and provides alerts when VG-2 and Spectre I/IV is in use.
Cobra's Strobe Alert will alert motorists to over 50,000 emergency vehicles equipped with strobe transmitters that activate red lights at traffic intersections in emergency high speed situations. Call your local Fire/Police department for your area coverage.

Great buy, great detector!
Easy to use and easy to mount.
Does what it's supposed to do...
Mainly used this at the beginning driving on the open highway/interstate. The radar is sensitive and would signal before even being able to sight the officer on an open road (i.e., probably about a half to 3/4 mile away). The alerts are clear and loud enough to get your attention without shocking you.
It doesn't work!
This radar detector never detects cop cars even were they are right beside me. When Im on the highway, it beeps continuously for nothing. Do not buy this radar detector, it is a complete waste of money.
Good Radar Detector
I travel up & down the coast and require a good radar detctor. This one has all the feastures I desired plus a accurate(if calibrated properly) digital compass. The price was right also. The only thing I would add is a blue or red display rather than the white display for better visibility. By having the voice alert capability it helps greatly.
I would buy this product again and again
Great product, is very easy to use and esay to mount. I use this product for drive without concern in the city.
