The Escort 9500ci is truly the ultimate radar detector. It is the worlds only radar detector that combines all of the following high-end features: discreet installation, complete immunity to all current and future radar detector detectors (RDDs), GPS functionality to help eliminate false alerts and allow for marking of speed trap locations, an updatable database of fixed red light and speed camera locations, front and rear laser shifting, and, of course, superior radar and laser detection. With the Escort 9500ci, a powerful radar antenna mounts under the hood of your vehicle. Two laser shifters/receivers are mounted on the front of the vehicle and one on the rear. These shifters actually prevent police laser guns from receiving a speed reading from your vehicle. Small control and display modules and an amplified speaker can be mounted anywhere inside the vehicle. By installing these components in discrete locations, you can achieve an invisible installation.
Like the Bel STi Driver windshield mounted detector, the Escort 9500ci produces no signal leakage, meaning it cannot be detected by any current or future RDDs. Police use RDDs to locate vehicles that are using radar detectors.
Like the windshield mounted Escort 9500i the Escort 9500ci includes a GPS antenna which helps to eliminate false alerts and notify you of fixed photo enforcement devices that cannot be detected by a typical radar detector (such as red light cameras). The 9500ci is compatible with the Trinity database of photo enforcement locations, which means the locations of these devices are loaded into the detector's memory and do not need to be marked manually. This database is constantly updated, and the 9500ci can easily be updated with the very latest information.
One of the most important benefits of the GPS functionality is the ability to eliminate false alerts. When you receive a false alert at a fixed location, such as a retail store, you can quickly and easily "mark" the location using the Escort 9500ci's TrueLock feature. After a location is marked, you will never receive another alert in that location for that specific frequency. The 9500ci's new Auto Learn feature, when enabled, will automatically identify false alert locations after several passes. General false alert filtering is also improved because the detector can now sense the speed of your vehicle - at slower speeds, sensitivity is reduced to eliminate false alerts. The Escort 9500ci's SpeedAlert feature will display your current speed when it provides an alert.
The Escort 9500ci includes front and rear laser shifters / receivers. This allows it to provide the same functionality of the ZR4 laser shifter - actually blocking police laser guns from receiving your vehicle's speed. This functionality can be disabled in areas where laser shifting may be illegal.

The Escort 9500ci will require installation. Installation may include mounting the radar detection unit under the hood of your car, and/or hard wiring the control panel's power cable. With this InstallCard a professional Mobile Electronics installer will install your concealed Radar/Laser Detector into your vehicle. Installation includes powering the unit through the ignition key, mounting an external receiver in the front and rear of the vehicle and a control module inside the cabin. Wires will be hidden to provide a "clean" installation.
This InstallCard is good for radar detectors with both front and rear antennas/laser sensors. Examples are the Beltronics STiR Plus, Escort 9500ci, and Escort ZR4 Laser Shifter. Concealed radar detectors with only a front antenna/sensor only require the Standard Radar Detector InstallCard.
