The Beltronics STiR Plus Radar-Laser-Safety-Detector is an Installed High Performance Stealth Defense System. The STiR Plus is an updated version of the STiR Concealed Radar Detector and adds some new features while retaining those of the original STiR system.
The Beltronics STi-R-PLUS is designed to be invisible inside and out. A powerful radar/laser antenna mounts under the hood of your vehicle. Small control and display modules and an amplified speaker can be mounted anywhere inside the vehicle. By installing these components in discreet locations, you can achieve an invisible installation.
The STiR Plus also utilizes the new TotalShield™ Technology, allowing it to be completely invisible to any type of radar detector detector (RDD). Police use RDDs to locate vehicles that are using radar detectors. The STiR Plus produces no signal leakage, meaning it cannot be detected by any current or future RDDs.
The STiR Plus uses multiple laser sensors to constantly search for laser gun signals. The AutoScan™ feature of the STiR Plus eliminates the need to shift between city and highway modes, and virtually eliminates false alarms. It also supports the detection of "POP" mode radar.
The Beltronics STiR Plus also provides a sophisticated high definition text display and clear digital voice messages for easy recognition of alerts. Four brightness levels are supported on the display, including Full Dark Mode, and an “auto” mode which automatically adjusts the brightness of the display depending on the amount of ambient light in the vehicle. The display offers three meter display modes and can be easily viewed from almost any angle.
Other features include a Pre-Loaded Safety Camera DEFENDER™ Database with information to warn you on thousands of red light and fixed position speed camera locations across The US. (includes three years of downloadable updates). The STiR Plus is also Web Ready. You can connect it to your Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 computer for easy updates from Beltronics' web site.

The only parts of the Bel STiR Plus stealth installed radar detector that need to remain within reach of the driver are the small display and control modules, along with the external speaker. Each of these modules is 2 inches wide by 5/8 inch tall, and the speaker is 2 1/4 inches square. Any of these components can be mounted anywhere - allowing you to have a clean, discreet installation.

The Laser Shifter Pack is a laser jamming system specifically made for the STiR Plus. Since they use a modular design, you can install the Laser Shifter Pack at the same time, or later as an optional upgrade. The high performance laser shifters provide great active protection from all types of lasers.

With this InstallCard a professional Mobile Electronics installer will install your concealed Radar/Laser Detector into your vehicle. Installation includes powering the unit through the ignition key, mounting an external receiver in the front and rear of the vehicle and a control module inside the cabin. Wires will be hidden to provide a "clean" installation.
This InstallCard is good for radar detectors with both front and rear antennas/laser sensors. Examples are the Beltronics STiR Plus, Escort 9500ci, and Escort ZR4 Laser Shifter. Concealed radar detectors with only a front antenna/sensor only require the Standard Radar Detector InstallCard.
