The use of laser devices to determine speed has been slowly growing here in the US and in other countries. Radar is still the main system used to determine a vehicles speed due to laser being more expensive and requiring additional training. Eventually, there are going to be a lot more laser systems being used, and honestly current detectors have a bit of a problem giving a fast enough warning. A laser often only needs about 1/4 of a second to clock your speed. This is why we recommend products such as Laser Veil and Blinder Laser Jammers.

As the use of lasers expands though, they are running into a few legal battles. In Chicago, the tactic of challenging their accuracy is being used to beat tickets.
